Book an Invention Assessment & Strategy Session

If during our initial discussion it appears to you require specific advice, it looks like your invention might be patentable and we can help, we  will offer you to book in for an “invention assessment and strategy session”. These are formal paid consultations offered at our offices or online via Skype or FaceTime. The “invention assessment and strategy session” includes a background search and an initial assessment as to the patentability and steps to protect your invention.

Prepare Information for Appointment

Once your appointment is booked, you should read your “new inventor” pack and email through information to date about your invention such as drawings so that your Attorney can best assist you. Please note information provided to The Patent Co is covered by Federal confidentially laws, and confidentially agreements/non-disclosure agreements are not required.

As a first step, make a list of the advice you require or questions you may have. If your matter is urgent, such as a patent filing or alleged infringement – please make note of any dates.

IP issues, especially if you are accused of infringement or have an adverse Examination Report issued, can be time critical and you need to act quickly. Give us a call or send in the contact form. We can then speak confidentially over the phone to initially assist you. There is no charge for an introductory phone call.

Get Specialist Advice & Solutions

If during our initial discussion it appears to you require specific advice, we will offer you to book in for an “IP strategy session” or a “General Consultation”. These are formal paid consultations offered at our offices or online via Skype or FaceTime. The consultations are with a highly specialised IP Attorney who will be able to provide you with bespoke advice and practical solutions.

Prepare Information for Appointment

Once your appointment is booked, you should read your “new client engagement” pack and email through information to date about your matter. For example, if you require a patent or trade mark filing – please send though any prior filed patent, trade marks including the relevant patent or trade mark numbers. If your matter relates to infringement or enforcement of IP rights, please make a brief history of the matter including any official correspondence such as Cease and Desist Letters. Please note information provided to The Patent Co is covered by Federal confidentially laws, and confidentially agreements/non-disclosure agreements are not required.
